November Reading List

As November rolls around I’m feeling a little bit better about my breakup from the month prior, mostly because I have planned so many future trips it’s hard to keep track! I am visiting Bali this month with this  bombshell of a French girl I met on Instagram, I dropped my hours down at the hospital to focus on my blog and my side hustle, and I am finally settled into my new one bedroom apartment, although I still have a lot of decorating to do.

This month, instead of focusing on myself and reading self help books, I decided I wanted to read books based on how I’m currently feeling. I’m a little terrified because I now have to budget my money, but what’s life without a little risk in order to chase your dreams. So here is what’s on my reading list this month, in no particular order.

Wild by Cheryl Streyed

I won’t lie, this book first sparked my attention because the movie starred Reese Witherspoon, but I’m really glad I haven’t seen the movie yet! This book is about the resilience of one woman and how she finds her hidden courage when she needs it most. I am excited to read this book because I need some motivation in learning how to rely on myself more. READ IT HERE.

Eat Pray Love By Elizabeth Gilberty

Ok, so I may have read this book way back in high school, but I definitely think that it needs a re-read before Bali. I too am on a journey to find my best self. I am also very excited because my friend and I have the contact to a Reiki healer in Ubud! READ IT HERE.

Vagina by Naomi Wolf

I feel a little weird talking about how I want to read this book on my blog (MOM DON’T LECTURE ME!) But… part of the reason for our breakup, and there were many, was that the passion fizzled out a little. I friend told me about this book, and how her sex life is the best it’s ever been, and my ears immediately perked up. This entertaining book covers everything from the gateway to female consciousness, how rape affects women, and how orgasms are connected to our brain, causing more creativity.  READ IT HERE

The 4-Hour Workweek by Timothy Ferriss

So this is pretty much my goal in life, and I am ready to go full force on achieving it! It for sure doesn’t happen overnight, but I’m ready for some motivation and pep talks. My goal is to grind now so that I eventually can use all of my new time for travel. READ HERE
